Memories

My father passed from this earth on May 25th. Thus the reason for my silence, grief! I was very close to him and I will miss him dearly. He was loved by many. There was standing room only at his funeral. We had folks fill out 'I remember' sheets that were in the folders that we gave out at the funeral. From those, we were reminded of all the lives that he touched. Mom continues to get a couple 'I remember sheet' each week. I feel priviledged to have had him as my earthly father. He gave me a wonderful sampling of the qualities and character of my heavenly father. Thank you daddy!

My cousin did the DVD that we played at his funeral. I have watched it many times and it brings me so much peace and comfort.

Last year, my beloved grandma passed on to be with God and now my father. There are lots of earthly things to handle, however, with each one who goes before me, I have a greater and greater desire to be there also. May I always live my life in a heavenly direction.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, bretheren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. I Thessalonians 4:1
